For the past several years, families seeking a higher quality of life have realized the wonderful amenities and convenience that the City of Joliet  has to offer. So many have chosen to call this historic city home that, in fact, it has consistently been among the fastest growing communities in the nation. While this growth has brought added amenities, smart planning has kept up with the expansion. Unlike many suburban boomtowns, Joliet still maintains it’s efficient city services  and transportation, small town sense of history, and maybe most importantly, its easy going friendliness.

Lakeview Point is a part of a larger community named Central Park of Joliet. Central Park of Joliet was named to recognize the many families that have chosen to call Joliet their new hometown. Located at what was once the far western frontier of Joliet, Central Park and Lakeview Pointe are now at about the geographic center of the City, whose boundary now reaches far to the west into Kendall County

Lakeside Pointe’s central location makes travel a breeze. Both I-55 and I-80 are minutes away and Metra offers a combined 23 Chicago bound trains a day on its Heritage Corridor and Rock Island Lines out of Joliet’s historic Union Station.

We’ve explained the “Central” part of the Central Park name...but what about the “Park” part?

Central Park of Joliet is bisected by a 55-acre dedicated natural wildlife preserve and park area that includes nature and bike trails and will be maintained by the Plainfield Park District. A future plan calls for this to tie to the DuPage and or Rock Run trail systems. For more information visit Forest Preserve District of Will County and Plainfield Park District.

For birders and nature lovers in general, the states most significant rookery, Lake Renwick Heron Rookery , with its own 2.9 mile trail, lies less than ten minutes away.

If Golf is your passion, Lakeview Pointe is less than two miles from two of the nationally recognized Joliet Park District's courses,  Wedgewood and Inwood. The Joliet Park District also offers a host of various recreational  and educational activities, programs and facilities, including the new Provena Saint Joseph Inwood Athletic Club and the Splash Station Water Park .

Other widely varied entertainment and cultural opportunities abound. The beautiful Rialto Square Theater and the First Midwest Amphitheater host schedules of world class entertainment. The riverfront Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park features free summertime Concerts on the Hill, as well as frequent other events and city festivals . Chicagoland Speedway is NASCAR’s and the IRL’s Midwestern home. The Joliet Jackhammers play a 48 game home schedule at the family friendly Silver Cross Field. Three cinemas, Cinemark Movies 10, Cinemark Movies 8  , and Silver Cinemas , are all just five minutes away.  Together they feature a total of 22 screens, making it hard to miss that new hit film.  If after all this activity, your looking for some quiet time, the Joliet Public Library’s new west branch is less than 2 miles away and  Joliet’s long and proud history is showcased at the Joliet Area Historical Museum.  If you’re not quite ready for that break, Joliet’s two casinos, Harrah’s and The Empress  offer gaming, live entertainment, and fine dining.

Speaking of dining, the Joliet area offers all the usual suburban fare, along with many fine dining restaurants including, Al’s Steakhouse, Barolo Ristorante, Louie’s Chophouse, The Public Landing, Syl’s, Truth, and the world class Tallgrass.  For great family dining at a Joliet tradition that spans 70 years, try Merichka’s and their famous poor boy sandwich .

As for shopping and services, just about all of your day-to-day needs, from grocers to pharmacies to dry cleaners are within a mile of Lakeview Pointe, as is the Westfield Louis Joliet Mall and upcomming Bronk’s Corners. Just a little further are the new Bolingbrook Promenade and the upcoming regional shopping malls located along the new I-355 extension, just north of I-80.

Not that convenience is necessarily a priority when it comes to religion, but Joliet even offers you convenience of worship.  Throughout Joliet’s rich history, Joliet has welcomed immigrants from around the world. As these folks settled in Joliet, they brought with them their faiths. The result is that virtually every religious denomination is represented in the Joliet community.

High quality healthcare is available at the area’s many clinics and two regional hospitals, Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center and Silver Cross Hospital.

If you’re looking to expand you horizons, continuing educational opportunities abound. Joliet is home to two universities, Lewis and Saint Francis and the nation’s first community college, Joliet Junior College.
